A redesign to remember.

Our team was asked to overhaul the Samsung.com Apps and Services pages, my role was to work in unison with the Clients, Group Creative Director, Creative specialists and Strategy teams to create the new web experience while ensuring the level of excellence that Samsung is known for. My team consisted of Copywriters, 3D/ Motion and Visual Designers as we moved through from wireframe to delivery.

Client priority defined that we start with the Samsung.com Galaxy Store. The Strategy team helped to determine the intention and user experience, while we developed the wireframe with pixel perfect module design in strict adherence to the Samsung P5 design spec. We analyzed competitors and provided wire options to suit multiple strategy objectives.

Once wires were locked in, we continued to work with client and game partners to create stunning key visuals and beautifully timed animation in key locations. Simultaneously working with 3D animators, motion designers and gaming partners to create a game filled attractor video through rounds of storyboarding and ideation.

The result is an immersive .com experience, filled with explosive gaming content, stunning visuals and a library of information all delivered in a streamlined and intuitive way.

Iterative Design

The wires for the Apps & Services ecosystem were created in Figma with assets delivered to dev in desired size cuts. Utilizing the Samsung P6 component library and design system, options for page prioritization and module stacking are provided in wireframe and worked through with the client to define AB testing for conversion optimization. In the end, we created a blend of all three shown here. (Some additional liberty negotiated to design new components that were adopted to the design system library.)

Samsung Instant Plays

Taking inspiration from real-world scenarios, we’ll transition between different locations to show how you can quickly hop between a wide variety of instant games throughout your day. Using an illustrative style, we’ll follow one character to see how the day inspires her to take quick breaks with amazing games that you can take anywhere.

Galaxy Store Overview

Working closely with client and gaming partners, a 15sec overview video was developed to drive traffic from anywhere such as social media and youtube preroll to in-store large format screen attraction. Working through rounds of storyboadring and concept exploration, we discovered novel ways to create logo animations and transition effects that would define the new Galaxy Store voice.

A virtual art gallery

for your living room.

Moving forward in our overhaul of the Samsung.com Apps and Services pages, we set out to create the Samsung Art Store. Art store is a virtual gallery, where you can obtain pieces of art to be displayed on your Samsung Frame TV when in Art Mode. My team created a beautifully immersive web experience that would simplify the concept of purchasing classic and curated artwork from your home. We first built the wireframe with adherence to the Samsung P5 design spec, taking liberty where possible. We then worked with the clients and internal art curators to create stunning collections, ‘meet the artist’ video content and beautifully animated videos to inspire the users to elevate their home.

Onboarding and Awareness Campaign

To support the new pages created for Samsung.com/Apps, we created and implemented strategic awareness campaigns that span the first 6-8 weeks of the users onboarding experience. Emails, offers, targeted banners and push notifications all with beautiful imagery, direct copy and strategic timing throughout the onboarding experience.
